Michael Keshishian

Michael is a registered practitioner of both Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, and an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

Michael’s interests in health management began at an early age. Having studied biological sciences at university, he began training in massage in 1988.  Later that year Michael met renowned master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Wong Lun AOM of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Melbourne.  As a result of that meeting, Professor Wong offered Michael the opportunity to become one of his students, and so, in 1989, Michael embarked on a five-year course of study in Traditional Chinese Medicine under Professor Wong’s tutelage.

On completion of his studies and training in 1993, Michael established the Brighton Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre, and has been in full-time practice for over 16 years.

Michael’s approach combines and integrates the full range of therapies offered by Traditional Chinese Medicine (massage, acupuncture, cupping, dietary advice and exercise therapy), and simultaneously brings both holistic insight and vivid analytical clarity to bear on health problems, and on issues of health improvement and maintenance.  Michael looks forward to discussing and being of assistance in relation to any health concerns or questions that you might have.
